This Autumn, we had a youth council visit to Ireland under our Causeway exchange programme which went really well.  It is always an incredible opportunity for young people from different cities and cultures to mix and develop friendships across the divides of accent and differing cultures. It’s often a lifelong learning item banked and invaluable for the young people involved.

During October half term we took a group of 12 to Glan Llyn near Bala for the Causeway youth exchange return leg.  Once again this was a great experience for the group, allowing them to come out of their comfort zones and participate in activities such as gorge walking and raft building.

The theme of the programme was based around young people’s mental health and we all participated in a sponsored walk in aid of Papyrus suicide prevention charity.
